Remedial Massage Therapy is the assessment and treatment of soft tissue dysfunctions that can be the cause pain and/or restricted movement. Using Special Tests, observation and palpation to form a “working diagnosis”, enables me to treat the symptoms using different modalities like, Myofascial Release, trigger point therapy, Muscle Energy, Stretches and Deep Tissue Massage.
What is Remedial Massage?
More often than not, when we tell someone that we are a Massage Therapy clinic, they immediately associate our vocation with relaxation or neck and/or back pain. What many do not realize, however, is that massage therapy is a health care modality that provides significantly more than just Relaxation.
Massage therapy involves all aspects of wellness, including exercises, personal development, and stress relief....
What Modalities are Used?
Massage therapy uses a variety of techniques to manipulate your joints and soft tissue to improve your body’s overall health. Massage increases the body’s supply of oxygen and nutrients to your muscles, which help release waste from the muscle tissue. Massage also accelerates your body's own natural ability to heal itself. Treatment can include myofascial release, dry needling, different stretching methods, therapeutic taping, muscle energy techniques, craniosacral, joint mobilization, and home exercise.
